The Laguna

The project is a 334 rooms resort hotel with condotel duplexes. The site used to be a tin mining area. The natural landscape is beautiful, typical of Phuket with sand beach, emerald blue ocean and salt water lagoon. The landscape design idea is to try to get away from the typical blue lagoon type design by adding to touch of Thai flavor, e.g. Rigid rectangle court yard. At the same time it allows nature to mingle and juxtapose with cultural landscape. Natural and culture landscape will become more rigid by this shape contrast. Rectangular with straight axis of interior space is commonly seen in old history site in Thailand. It represents formality and simplicity which been used as a transition linkage to the building complex.
